Join the Wise Bird Cider Club

For a quarterly membership fee, the Wise Bird Cider Club offers four shipments of cider each year with access to exclusive events, taproom specials, preferred pricing, and special merchandise. Each membership can be enjoyed by two people (you and a plus one).

BENEFITS

Cider

  • Quarterly, the cider makers select your shipment, including new releases, special products or vintages not always available to other customers.

  • Each quarterly shipment typically contains two 750ml bottles of new, rare, or exclusive ciders but may also include a 375ml bottle of a dessert cider.

  • Cider Club members who opt to pick up their orders will also receive a punch card for a complimentary glass of cider for two people each month. Home delivery club members receive an extra bonus bottle or piece of merchandise per year in lieu of the punch card.

Merchandise

  • With their first quarterly shipment, Club members receive two Wise Bird glasses.

Preferred Pricing

  • Cider Club members receive preferred pricing year-round of 10% off all purchases.

VIP Event Access

  • Each quarter (March, June, September, December), we host a Cider Club party at the cidery for shipment pickup, with complimentary tastings and often small-batch and/or Cider Club exclusive cider releases.

  • Cider Club members are also invited to pre-release parties of new vintages/products throughout the year for a sneak peek at products before they go out to the public.

  • Cider Club members will also receive early access to special ticketed events at the cidery, such as our Chef’s Series Cider Dinners; Cider, Cheese and Charcuterie classes; cider-making and apple tree grafting classes; and others.


MEMBERSHIP DETAILS AND POLICIES

  • Quarterly Cost: $45 plus tax and applicable shipping fees.

  • Sign up: In accordance with Kentucky ABC law, club members must sign up in person at the cidery.  If you have questions about this or would like to inquire about alternative options, please send an email to hello@wisebirdcider.com

  • How to Sign Up: Ask a Wise Bird staff member for a signup sheet or go online to 

  • Pick Up Members: Cider Club members who opt to pick up their orders will also receive a punch card for a complimentary glass of cider for two people each month. Cider Club members will be notified when their order is ready for pickup. WE CAN ONLY GAURANTEE THAT SPECIFIC RELEASE BOTTLES WILL BE AVAILABLE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE RELEASE DATE. MEMBERS THAT PICK UP AFTER 30 DAYS MAY HAVE BOTTLES REPLACED WITH EQUAL OR GREATER VALUE. DUE TO THE FACT THAT CIDER CLUB RELEASES INVOLVE LIMITED RUN, SMALL BATCH CIDERS, WE CAN’T GAURANTEE THEIR AVAILABILITY AFTER 30 DAYS. MEMBERS WHO CAN NOT PICK UP WITHIN A TIMELY PERIOD MAY ELECT TO HAVE THEIR BOTTLES SHIPPED TO THEM AT ADDITIONAL COST.

  • Home Delivery Members: Cider Club members who prefer delivery in lieu of pickup may opt to have their order delivered directly to their home for an added shipping cost, which is calculated at the time of checkout. Wise Bird Cider currently delivers to 40 states: AK, AZ ,CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY.

  • Timing of Shipments/Pickup: Cider Club shipments are released in the last month of each quarter: March, June, September and December.  If you join in any other month, you will receive your first order at the time you join, either shipped or scheduled for pickup.  Your subsequent orders will then fall into the quarterly schedule.

  • Cancelation. Cider Club members receive great cider discounts and amazing benefits, the only obligation is purchasing at least two shipments of cider to be delivered to you or picked up at the cidery. If you decide to cancel before your second shipment, you will be charged an early termination fee equal to the quarterly club membership fee. You may cancel without penalty at any time after the second shipment has been processed and at least 30 days prior to the next scheduled shipment. You can cancel by sending an email to hello@wisebirdcider.com.

  • You must notify Wise Bird Cider of any account or address changes before the beginning of a shipment period.  Misdirected shipments could result in additional shipping charges. You can update your Club member profile online at XXX or email hello@wisebirdcider.com. 

  • Each shipment or pickup will automatically be charged to the credit card provided at the time of sign up, as well as applicable UPS shipping and state taxes.  Your first shipment will be charged at the time of signup. Subsequent shipments will be charged prior to their shipping in accordance with the standard quarterly release schedule.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Automatic Deliveries: This is an automatic delivery program where you agree to have the payment for the order charged automatically.

  2. Member Details: Current contact, billing and shipping information must be provided at the time of signup and must be kept up to date throughout your membership.

  3. Pick Up Orders: You understand and agree that your club release will be available for pick-up for 30 days post club release. If not picked up, the release will be shipped to your address on file. Shipping and handling charges (and applicable taxes) will be applied to your payment card. 

  4. Age Requirement: When registering for a club membership you are confirming you are 21 years of age or older.

  5. Membership will be ongoing until we receive a request to terminate membership.

  6. Minimum Commitment: We request a minimum commitment of two quarters.  Termination prior to your second shipment will result in an early termination fee equal to the quarterly club fee.

  7. Leaving the Program: You must notify us email at hello@wisebirdcider.com at least 30 days prior to the next release with any changes or cancellations. This time frame also applies to pick-ups.

  8. In-Person Signature Requirement: Deliveries require an adult signature of 21 years of age or older. After 3 attempts to delivery, shipments are held at UPS and then returned. We hope this does not happen as we provide advance notice and tracking numbers for shipments.

  9. Returned Packages: A return packaging fee as well as reshipping fee may be charged to the customer.

  10. Re-Shipping: Package(s) which are returned and re-shipped will incur a re-shipping fee.

  11. Redirected shipments: We are happy to redirect your shipment. Once shipped, if you do need to change shipping destinations, a redirect and any additional shipping costs will be applied.

  12. Tracking: Shipping tracking numbers are provided so you are aware of when a shipment is due to be delivered and can arrange for an adult of 21 years of age or older to be available to sign for the package.

  13. Legal Restriction: Unfortunately, regulations restrict us from shipping alcohol to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.

  14. Taxes & limitations: Individual state regulations for taxes and limits do apply.

  15. Returned shipments: You are responsible for shipping, return and re-shipping costs.

  16. Regulations for shipping wine/mead/cider vary by state. We comply with all regulations based on their individual shipping laws and limitations. Due to current state regulations, we regretfully cannot ship cider to all states.

  17. Damaged shipments are insured. Please notify the winery if you incur such a shipment.

  18. Heat & Weather Conditions. Because cider is sensitive to temperature variances, we generally ship Monday through Wednesday. We may, at times, contact customers to consult on overnight shipping or holding the shipment back to ensure the integrity of their cider.

FAQ

Can I join at any time during the year?

Absolutely! Cider Club shipments are released in the last month of each quarter: March, June, September and December.  If you join in any other month, you will receive your first order at the time you join, either shipped or scheduled for pickup.  Your subsequent orders will then fall into the quarterly schedule.

May I select the bottles that go into my shipment?

Our cider makers carefully curate each quarterly shipment to highlight new vintages, new releases, merchandise and, at times, Cider Club exclusives. We hope you will enjoy our selections and we do not allow substitutions.

Am I allowed to bring a guest to Cider Club events?

Each Cider Club membership is inclusive of two people. If you have signed up on your own, you may bring a guest to Club events. If you have signed up as a couple, you are both welcome to attend events, or if one of you is not available, you may bring a guest as your second person.

Can I have all the punch card drinks to myself?

Each individual is limited to one punch card drink per person per day.  This is an ABC regulation.

My membership was a gift. What happens if the gift giver hasn’t paid for the shipment before I pick the shipment up?

A shipment must be paid for before it can be picked up as it is illegal for us to transfer ownership of cider that hasn’t been paid for. If you’re experiencing this issue, please check with the gift giver to make sure they have updated their credit card info with Wise Bird Cider.

What if I decide I want to cancel my club membership?
